New Canaan Library’s annual Conversations with Business Leaders lecture hosts some of the business world’s most successful, knowledgeable and dynamic individuals. The tradition continues with this year’s guest speaker, Rich Riley, CEO of Shazam, one of the world’s most popular mobile applications. Riley will discuss how to grow a company without losing its soul.
Rich Riley joined Shazam in 2013 and under his leadership the company has more than doubled its user base. Prior to Shazam, Riley spent 13 years at Yahoo! He joined as part of the acquisition of a start-up he co-founded, Log-Me-on.com, which invented the toolbar. Riley also serves as an Industry Advisor to the global investment firm, KKR, and serves on the Board of the Entrepreneurial Department at the Wharton School. He is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and has been named 3 times to Billboard’s list of the most powerful people in the music industry and was featured on Fortune Magazine’s 40 Under 40, Ones to Watch list and a finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award.
