New Canaan has tough decisions to make every day, decisions that affect our schools and neighbors, property values and downtown. While the results of local political decisions are often immediate, our elected and appointed public servants work within a framework that few of us fully understand.
Join us for a clear, concise presentation that breaks down how things get done in New Canaan and how we all can be involved. Attend a daytime or evening session on March 28th at New Canaan’s Town Hall Meeting Room to learn about:
• Town government’s “family tree,” including elected and appointed boards and committees
• Roles, responsibilities, and terms of service
• Procedures for getting involved
This program is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of New Canaan, a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government.
Two Sessions will be held 10:00 am and 7:00 pm
