Dine out on Steve Benko with the Gridiron Club of New Canaan
Steve Benko – chef extraordinaire, fire chief, parks and rec, coach, referee, man about town. Is he a man, or Superman? Have you ever wondered how he does it all? Join friends and family as the Gridiron Club of New Canaan celebrates the life and times of Steve Benko in a send-up including the Gridiron Club’s troupe of singers, dancers and, yes, drag divas.
Each year the Gridiron Club of New Canaan celebrates a member of the community who has set an example of community spirit and leadership. On April 18 and 20, the Gridiron Club will honor Steve as the ‘Fall Guy’ at the 58th annual Gridiron Club dinner and roast at the Country Club of New Canaan. Both evenings will feature dinner and live entertainment, as a group of businessmen-by-day New Canaanites shed all shame to sing and dance their way through the life and times of the ‘Fall Guy.’
The Gridiron Club will make a donation in honor of Fall Guy Steve Benko to the New Canaan Athletic Foundation, an independent organization created to support the experience of all youth and NCHS student athletes with a broad based community commitment towards facilities and a healthy lifestyle.
The event is open to all; for more information or to reserve your tickets for April 18 (Hosted by Sue Benko) or the April 20 (Hosted by Steve Benko) contact Gridironclubofnc@gmail.com
