“Historic Barns: Yesterday & Today” Photographs by Kip Farrell will be on display starting May 21. Featuring photographs of New Canaan barns by author, photographer, and historic barn expert, Kip Farrell, as well as background on the local barn preservation ordinance. The exhibit runs through September.
“The Cartoonists of Silvermine: Past and Present” is an historical retrospective exhibiting over seventy reproductions of seventeen cartoonists who at one time worked and/or lived in Silvermine from 1900 though the present. Exhibit runs through August 15th.
American Red Cross: Citizen CPR Training

The purpose of the American Red Cross Citizen CPR course is to teach untrained bystanders how to perform hands-only CPR. Having more citizen bystanders trained in this simple skill can help save lives by putting more cardiac arrest victims within a few steps of lifesaving assistance.

The New Canaan Mile was started in 2012 by New Balance owners Ron and Tina Rosenfeld to reward two student athletes at the New Canaan High School for the following merits: Strong Leadership Qualities, Hard Working, and Good Grades. Most importantly the scholarship is not awarded to the students who are necessarily the best athletes, but the indivduals that come to practice with a positive attitude and helps others. We give a $1000 scholarship to a person decided on by the coaches.
