Let’s get cooking! New Canaan Library is pleased to host a special culinary event on Thursday, September 4, from 6 – 7:30 PM. Chef Silvia Baldini, founder of Strawberry and Sage, will demonstrate how to transform locally-grown, seasonal vegetables into elegant, healthy dishes for home entertaining. Analiese Paik, founder of Fairfield Green Food Guide, will give participants the inside track on resources for buying local and organic food and ingredients.
Join these experts for a class that will both educate and inspire, with cooking demonstrations, recipes, education and tastings. The class covers:
• Vegetable crudite- focus on knife skills and tips for elegant displays
• Vegetable tarts – learn one crust to use with five different fillings
• Vegetable and fruit soups – learn one base to create 10 delicious soups
