Dear New Canaan residents and visitors,
I am so excited to have the Town of New Canaan be an integral part of this new and exciting website, connectnewcanaan.com. The effort you see before you is the culmination of an idea I had when I was running for office. I wanted the Town to show its support for our business community by funding a marketing effort for our community. As a small town and without the resources of a Business Development office, a group of volunteers from all branches of marketing came together to brain storm as to what type of effort could have the greatest impact – all the while being mindful of the costs. Thanks to the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce and my office, the group met monthly to talk about who came to visit, who dined in town, what events did people take advantage of etc. We realized that we needed a central hub of information for residents and visitors alike and thus connectnewcanaan.com was born.
I hope you will visit and use the site often. Please book mark this site address and use it as your “go to” source to keep up with school functions, recreation resources, happening s around town etc. I know I will!!
