New Canaan’s favorite summer kick-off event, Books and Beats is back and better than ever this year on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Glamorous cabana lounges, great dance music and a specialty tequila tasting bar will guarantee another white-hot Miami dance party vibe! Guests can look forward to a festive night with 300 + guests dining, dancing and enjoying some exciting new features and additions. Join the party under the stars (and tents!) from 7 – 10 pm on the Library grounds. Benefactor and general tickets are on sale now at the Library’s website, newcanaanlibrary.org/booksandbeats.
Setting the mood with Miami Chic attire, guests (21+) will dance, dine and sample delicious cocktails in a trendy lounge atmosphere, magically created by Books & Beats committee co-chairs, Kate Benett, Maya Frey, Sue Mackey and Sapna Shah. “This is going to be one amazing evening, ” states Benett. “We have so much fun planned, I don’t know what to talk about first! ” adds Shah.
Coming off of rave reviews from last year’s event, On The Marc Catering returns, offering a superb variety of gourmet foods and Latin-inspired choices. Wine, craft beers, signature
cocktails and a splashy tequila tasting bar will add to the dance-lounge flavor of the evening.
“Last year was such a success – people had so much fun, and it was all for such a good cause—our beloved library. We hope everyone comes back again for another memorable night,” says Frey. “It truly is the cultural and innovative hub of New Canaan, and we need to show our strong support,” adds Mackey.
This year’s corporate sponsors include Brad and Vandy Reh Designs, Bankwell, April Kaynor & Kelly Defrancesco with William Raveis, the Hospital for Special Surgery, Haggerty Pool, Hoyt Livery, People’s Bank and Silver Hill Hospital.
