New Canaan Chamber of Commerce
- In addition to the regular meetings of the Chamber membership, generally luncheons and business after hours and sometimes breakfasts, several annual community-wide events mark the Chamber of Commerce’s year. Each of the events was conceived as a way to encourage street traffic in the business district and/or provide fund-raising opportunities for the Chamber.
- There are a large variety of merchants and businesses that are members of the New Canaan Chamber. We work with these members to help them get more publicity while getting more involved in the town.
- The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce maintains a job board populated by members where they can post both full time and part time job opportunities for residents of New Canaan and surrounding areas.
The Community
In Case of Emergency
The mission of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of New Canaan. The OEM plans and prepares for emergencies, coordinates emergency response and recovery, and collects and disseminates emergency information.
The Answer Book
The New Canaan Answerbook is the most complete guide to the town of New Canaan ever published. Do you know how you can register to vote? How about where to get a fishing license? Do you know how many homes are in town? The Answer Book knows the answers to these questions and hundreds of others that are important to you.
Historical Society
The New Canaan Historical Society works to promote an understanding and appreciation of our town’s past. The Society’s mission is “to bring together and arrange the historical events of the town of New Canaan, the genealogies of the families who have lived in the town, to form a library and to collect relics and curiosities, to form a museum.”
